News June 2-15, 2013

Shelter Meal Collection, First Sunday in June
On Sunday, June 2, we will receive a special collection to support the Shelter Meal. Volunteers
from UUCT purchase the food, cook the meal, and serve it at The Shelter on the second
Monday of each month. The gifts of time and energy that people give to provide the meal must
be matched by donations of dollars from others in the congregation. It costs about $300.00
each month to prepare meals for 200-300 guests at The Shelter.

Getting to Know UUCT this Sunday
This Sunday, June 2, at 10:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Rev. Gray and Barbara Sterling will host a
gathering for new friends and visitors. In less than an hour, they will invite new friends to share
what they are looking for in a congregation, and offer a brief overview of the mission and
methods of UUCT. Please feel free to join either session, or to contact Rev.Gray at
rbngray@gmail.com to respond.

Getting to Know UUCT will be offered on the first Sunday of every month with members of
the congregation leading the discussions. If you can't make this session, plan to come another
time.

Notice This!  -  I'd walked around that corner several times a day, and yet I was confused
when Matt stopped to snap a picture. "What do you see?" I asked. He pointed to a tiny
red-orange flower. I thought I paid attention to the world beneath my feet, but this halfinch
